Meet Ken Talbert
2025 Grand Day Parade Grand Marshal


Ken has been a Rosemount resident for 68 years and an active member in our community.

Ken served in the Army in the Korean War, he went to college on the GI Bill and became a teacher.

Moved to Rosemount in 1957 and taught business at Rosemount High School for 34 years impacting thousands of students. He often taught children and grandchildren of his former students. Ken was and continues to be one of the favorite teachers.

Ken met his wife, MaryLou in college. They got married in 1961, and just celebrated 64 years of marriage in June. They have 3 kids and 4 grandchildren.

Ken is a huge believer in community service. He belongs to the VFW and Legion, and was a member of the Rosemount Lions for many years.

One of his proudest achievements was co-managing the project to build the Rosemount Veterans Memorial in Central Park, with his long-time friend and veteran, Ted Northwick.

Ken is a shining example of a resident making a difference in our community. He just celebrated his 96th birthday and we are honored to have him as our 2025 Grand Marshal.
